These two places completely destroy everyones perception about Utah regarding drinks. I have no problem with these two places.

I have a problem with the DABC, and government control in general. Granted, they have loosened rules up recently, but I resent the fact that they have so much power over what I am allowed to drink.

I realize that I am not being very articulate, and I need to think about this issue more.

Prost!
ScottAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15458742.post-82587593730404790102010-10-05T11:47:49.211-07:002010-10-05T11:47:49.211-07:00The Bayou and the Beerhive get "exclusive&quo...The Bayou and the Beerhive get "exclusive" beers frankly because they're the only one buying special order beers.

Anyone can buy beer through the DABC if your willing to pay for them. The DABC has very limited space and doesn't even have a dedicated beer buyer. It's frankly not a big priority in the eyes of the DABC.

Yeah, it sucks that a bar far from your home gets a lot if beer in that you'd like to try. But if they were'nt doing it, the beer landscape in Utah would be far less diverse.Mikeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00855596555082342486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15458742.post-20531062956742344362010-10-01T15:04:39.103-07:002010-10-01T15:04:39.103-07:00Red Rock has two new (at least to me) beers on rig...Red Rock has two new (at least to me) beers on right now.Douglasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15458742.post-74529861480779000152010-10-01T13:52:59.165-07:002010-10-01T13:52:59.165-07:00Very excited to try these. However, it seems that the system is difficult. I put in an order and heard nothing back some years ago. Maybe you will have better luck.

http://abc.utah.gov/online/special_orders.htmlDouglasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15458742.post-64507291989628163052010-10-01T08:46:28.433-07:002010-10-01T08:46:28.433-07:00I am looking forward to these beers, and I am all ...I am looking forward to these beers, and I am all for increased selection, especially of quality craft beers. I will likely go to Epic and pick up some Peach Brains sometime this weekend. I have been lookinig forward to it ever since it was announced. I would also like to try the Full Sail Dubble.

Related, I have a question that I have not seen addressed anywhere else. I like going to the Bayou and Beerhive as much as anyone else, but cannot afford to go very often. How is it that these two bars can get exclusive beers? We should be able to get them through the DABC.

Prost!

ScottAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
