New Beer Friday came late but it came with a vengeance!
Uinta Brewing Company introduces the newest addition to their Crooked Line of beers, Oak Jacked Imperial Wood Aged Pumpkin Ale. Whew, that's a mouthful... “Jacked” is a very limited, seasonal beer, only 850 cases were produced.
Jacked is brewed with fresh pumpkin and fall spices and has been aging in Oak barrels for 6 months. The oak barrels add subtle nuances of toasted vanilla and bourbon notes. With an ABV of 10.31% (a play on the date of Halloween), Jacked is a big, unique pumpkin ale.
Jacked was supposed to debut tomorrow at the Utah Beerfest, but it looks like Uinta is still waiting on the DABC for approval. If you don't see it tomorrow it will be available in bars and liquor stores in the coming days and weeks.
See you at the Utah Beer Festival.
Cheers!

Sounds interesting, Pumpkin beers usually tend to be fairly light and quaffable but Uinta has a great track record so I bet this is pretty good. A very cool label.
I really enjoyed my sip at the fest, and I intend to buy a few bottles for later.

Just an FYI, apparently they are not yet ready for retail sales because they are waiting on the DABC to put in into the computers. Filter that through whatever political beliefs you have.
It's all this damn new fangled technology that's slowing our beer orders down isn't it.
I went by the brewery on Tuesday and had a nice chat with a feller who works there. Yeah... give it a minute, they are bottled, stacked and ready to be sold. Give the guy at the pub a call before you stop in.
It's a funny situation when someone walks in (myself) and says they want to buy a product that they have tasted and enjoyed (beer) that is ready to be sold and it can't be done. I thought I remembered the conservative, religious republicans talking about De-regulation of business and allowing the free market to do as it does? Ok, that's my political statement for the day.
I'm starting to get a little pissed off, DABC. People on the east coast are enjoying this beer, but it's still not legal to sell in Utah? Get your shit together, Assholes!!!
Mikey,
I think they are punishing Uinta for pouring it at the fest. A bit of the, "We'll show you for bending a rule!". It's a fine beer with a non-offensive label, what are they waiting for?
Very sweet, spices on frontlines, chrystal clear, way darker than the normal Funk'n, but a hellalot cleaner.
just gave them a ring. they said they are starting to sell it at their beer store tomorrow (Fri, sat 9).
Well, I haven't taste it yet but I've been hearing to many opinions about it. I'd like to find it as soon as possible.
