New Beer Friday 1/10/25

Happy New Beer Friday. Dryuary isn't keeping local brewers down as we still have five new beers to enjoy the weekend and beyond.

Elisabeth Osmeloski of Scion Cider Bar will be visiting the Radio Pub today (Friday). We'll get into how one of the top cider bars in North America came about - along with some of their delicious in house ciders. We start at 2pm on 99.9FM KUAA.

Prodigy - The Lite Owl Lager: Missed this one. 5.0% - Available at Prodigy and The White Owl.

2 Row - Tropical Fruit Sour: Sweet fruity and wheat malt aromas. Light bodied with aggressive, yet soft carbonation. Tart tropical fruit flavors, dark melon, passion fruit and tart cherries. Malt follows the tartness that is assertive but not too aggressive. Finished dry and crisp. 5.0% - Available at 2 Row.

Kiitos - Sahti: This is a new interpretation on Kiitos’ Sahti. This Finnish-style farmhouse ale made from barley and rye and flavored with juniper instead of hops. The overall profile is fruity, malty & the juniper adds some of that great pine tar character with tannic apple peel.

Salt Lake Brewing - Rye of the Tiger: It has that great spiced rye body we rye lovers crave. Hops skew toward the piney side of the spectrum, giving it a nice old school feel. Great body for a 5% ale & would annihilate pints of this if on nitro. Available at SL Brewing.

Uinta - Dry January. Kolsch: On the R&D Tap: good amount of toasty crackers here. Overall malt profile is light, with slight yeast fruitiness. Solid Kölsch, I could easily crush a stein of this. 5.0% - Only at Uinta.

Here are this week's Small Batch Beers from Hopkins Brewing.

Cheers!
