New Beer Friday 9/25/26

We here at the Utah Beer Press Corp, Muckrakers and Gluttons for Punishment will allow all bloggers, influencers and  any douche bag with a keyboard access to our press conferences. Today's "presser" concerns the New Beers listed below. Please spread the good word. Happy New Beer Friday!

Red Rock Brewing is on Beer Nerd Radio today! I suspect we'll be getting into Double IPAs and other brilliant beers coming out of one of Utah's longest lived breweries. Mikey and Steph fire up the Radio Pub at 2pm today (Friday) on 99.9fm KUAA. - KUAAfm.org/

RoHa - Trauma Bay IPA: Two cans, two color schemes! Hopped with Nelson, Riwaka, and Waimea hops. Melon aroma. Great melon flavors to start. Some strawberry comes in next with some orange comes in towards the end. Herbal hoppy finish. Another Mikey Likey! 7.2% - Available now at RoHa

Offset - DAMP 26.02: The is Extra Pale Ale was made with Wet Amarillo, Freshly Kilned Amarillo Cryo Fresh Mosaic, Simcoe T90, Centennial T90 hops. 200lbs of freshly picked Amarillo from was harvested early in the AM and loaded right onto a plane piloted by Offset employee Dani Jordan. After fermentation with clean American Ale yeast it was dry hopped this with some Cryo Fresh Mosaic from 2025 Harvest as well as some Simcoe and Centennial. Notes of stone fruit, pithy citrus, pine, resin, and that lovely Fresh Hop je ne sai quois. Dry, bitter, bright, and fresh AF. 6.0% - Available now at Offset

Offset - DAMP 26.03: This Extra Pale Ale Fresh Hop "Modern" Red IPA features Wet Citra, Wet Centennial, Freshly Kilned Thora Freshly Kilned Centennial Dolcita T90, Crush Cryo, Citra T90 hops. 100lbs of stunning wet Citra and 100Ibs of wet Centennial were shredded and added to the mash tun/hopback. After a nice soak it was transferred to their pressurized hopback full of freshly kilned Centennial and Jackson Thora for that extra zhuzh. Then Jackson Citra mixed with these high Terp lemon/strawberry vibes from the Centennial. After fermentation it was dry hopped this with Dolcita, Krush Cryo, and Citra. This is definitely not your dad's Red IPA. Creamy tropical and peach notes from the Dolcita explode from the beer followed by melon and berry notes from the Krush. "Admittedly this isn't the most visually appealing beer we've ever made. It's not exactly red and as much as we tried to make it clear it just wouldn't cooperate. But.... It smells and tastes insane so who fucking cares right" ! 6.5% - Available now at Offset

Offset / Good Word Brewing - North German Style Pilsner: Offset's 5th Anniversary collaboration is finally here. This Pils style is brewed in the northern part of Germany tends to be drier, more bitter, and have a little more hop character than the ones brewed further south.
Offset's example, tends to lean more into that South German style with a little more balanced approach to malt and hops with a little more body. They used whole leaf Hallertau Tradition that was added to Offset's pressurized hop back on the way to the fermenter. After a slow cold fermentation with the most traditional of lager yeasts and extended maturation in horizontal lagering tanks this Pils is ready for consumption. Dry, crisp, and bitter with a beautiful floral/herbal hop bouquet. It's a departure from Offset's typical Pils offerings.
5.0% - Available now at Offset

Helper - Dunkle: Missed this new Munich Dunkle 5.0% - Available at Helper Beer and Slackwater

TF - Dandelion Daydream: This barrel aged sour features Dandelion greens instead of hops for bittering. Super tart and fruity nose. Very dry as well. Good amount of funky yeast to start. Some blue cheese and vine fruits to start. Bone dry tartness kicks in from there adding some citrus, berries & a hint of peach. A dry & somewhat woody tannic finish. Delish! 9.0% - Only at TF.

Salt Lake Brewing - Melon Collie: This session IPA has a peachy nose. Same taste with some citrus backing it up. Nice bitterness toward the finish. It’s not lingering, just enough to be noticeable. Love this session IPA. Mikey Likey! 5.0% - Only at Salt Lake Brewing / Squatters.

Cheers!
