Snowbird's 45th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration

One of the ten best Oktoberfest celebrations in America is just two days from it's eight week run. Snowbird's Oktoberfest is without a doubt one of the most visually stunning settings you will find and the beer selection is a top notch collection of local and regional brands.

Oktoberfest runs every Saturday and Sunday from Aug. 12 through Oct. 15, 2017, including Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 4. There are a few special events that will be happening during the fest as well, including:  
Beard & Moustache Competition: August 12
Military Appreciation Weekends: August 12-13, 19-20
Bratwurst Eating Championship: August 19

Snowbird is encouraging carpooling and parking is $5 cash and no pets are allowed.

One more thing. If you have previously purchased a beer mug at Snowbird you can bring it back with you and have it filled. That way you don't have to buy a new mug every year. It must say Snowbird on it though. Hope to see you there!

Bohemian's Oktoberfest Märzen Bier

Bohemian's Oktoberfest Märzen Bier is back to ease you into the Autumn months. This year you have the added option of taking a six pack home from the grocery store. For a limited time Bohemian is offering up cans of their popular Oktoberfest in brand new packaging.

This beer has a clear amber-orange color with a good two fingers of white head. The nose is mostly malt driven with caramel and citrus highlights. The flavor has a mild maltiness with a bit of vanilla and a slight bitterness. Average carbonation with a medium/light body.

These cans are just going into distribution, so it's hard to say where they'll exactly end up. You can buy the cans right now at Boho's brewery or of course find it on tap where there are Boho seasonal taps and of course at Oktoberfest at Snowbird.

Speaking of Bohemian, The brewery with be hosting their annual Boho-Fest on Saturday September 24th from 2-7pm. You'll be able sample Boho's full array of beers, including a sausage eating contest, Music games and prizes for the best German themed attire. All ages are welcome.

Snowbird's 43rd Annual Oktoberfest Celebration

Yup! Believe it or not it's Oktoberfest time. Snowbird's Annual Oktoberfest attracts over 60,000 visitors and has grown to become one of the largest festivals in Utah. Our beloved Oktoberfest was also voted one of America's 10 Best Oktoberfests by Men's Journal Magazine.

Every Saturday and Sunday noon - 6:30pm, from Aug. 15 through Oct. 11, 2015, including Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7. You'll be able to sample great local and regional craft beers along with incredibly delicious, traditional German fare.

Admission is free, however due to limited parking there is a $5 cash only parking fee so carpooling is encouraged. Also, I have one other way to save you a few quatloos while attending Oktoberfest this year. If you have previously purchased an Snowbird Oktoberfest Stien or mug in past years - you can re-use that mug as long as it says "Snowbird" on it. So, no need to buy a new glass stein every year... unless you really want one.

This is really a great way to spend a weekend afternoon. It may be one of the most picturesque Oktoberfest celebrations in North America and it's right in your backyard.
