New Beer Friday 1/7/22

The first New Beer Friday of 2022 brings in a full range of brews that will appeal to a wide audience. If you can't find a brilliant brew this week? Then you're just being difficult, and probably need a time-out.

Hopkins - Aroma Therapy: This blonde ale base was double dry-hopped with a blend of Cascade and Citra hops, leaving an intense floral/citrus aroma and a low perceived hop bitterness. Malt body features bread-forward characteristics and mild malt sweetness, making this a truly unique experience for the senses. Brewed with 100% Utah-grown and malted Solstice Malt. 5.0% - Only at Hopkins.

TF/Horus - Triple Bawk: This collaboration Triple Bock was aged in High West Old Fashion barrels. Look for sweet toffee, cassia bark, licorice root, orange spice and sandalwood. As this beer develops, dried cherries, allspice, whiskey and orange zest from the barrel round out this complex beauty. 9.6% - For sale starting today at TF Brewing.

2 Row - Nelson on Rye: 7.5% - I love Nelson Savin hops and rye malt, so this is right up my zip code. Look for citrus peel and vague berries with a lightly spiced, caramel-like malt bill. At 2 Row, The Bayou, Slackwater and better beer pubs around the Wasatch Front.

Salt Flats - Barrel-aged Winter Amber Ale: This spiced amber has been in the barrel for a year. It's speed with cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses and vanilla. 9.0% - Available at Salt Flats and Garage Grill.

Offset Bier - Franconian style Kellerbier: A traditional style of Kellerbier, slightly darker in color than the pale kellerbier style. Notes of bread crust and biscuit dominate while being dry and easy to drink. Spicy and floral hop notes with a touch of lemon from Saphir hops. 5.0% - only at Offset.

Roosters - Black Widow: This Munich-style Helles is a caramel forward and malty lager brewed with traditional hops that will impart an herbal and grassy profile. 5.0% - This one will be available

in can and draft at Roosters' B-Street brewery and their other locations soon, if not today.
