Beer Nerd Radio welcomes "Patrick's Pub" to the "Radio Pub" Ironically there will be no Patrick in attendance. However! we will have a Clayton Master and a Topher Hennig. We're looking forward to chatting with one of SLC's burgeoning craft beer hot spots. 2pm is radio happy-hour! Every damn Friday on 99.9fm KUAA. or at KUAAfm.org/
Bewilder - Czech IPA: Stonefruit & Citrusy nose. Great citrus taste too. Pineapple, tangerine & lemongrass. Strawberry & Melon round it out. Excellent IBUs here. 50 on the scale brings an excellent hop bitterness that doesn’t overwhelm & is slightly peppery. This a tasty and damn clever IPA. Well worth your quatloos! 6.6% - Available at Bewilder.
Offset - DAMP 26.04: Okay, here the drill with DAMP 4. This Hazy IPA features Wet Hops: Citra, Mosaic Freshly Kilned Hops: Citra - Dry Hop: Cryo Fresh Krush, Thora T90, Citra
T90, Mosaic T90. 20lb/bbl of wet Citra and Mosaic were shredded and dumped in the lauter tun within 6 hours of being picked.
After a nice long soak freshly kilned Citra. they then dry hopped the living hell out of it with 4lbs/bbl of Cryo Fresh Krush, Jackson Thora T90, TV Hops Citra T90, & Mosaic T90.
The aroma on this one is mental. Intense tropical fruit is layered on top of that fresh hop herbaceousness, pithy citrus, and resin. Unlike most beer labeled "hazy" this has a firm bitterness from all the wet hops on the hotside that keeps it drinkable and invites the next swig. 6.5% - Available now to enjoy in house and to go.
Offset - Wild Hops DOPO: This Ale was dry hopped with fresh frozen Cascade Hops picked at the Summit Community Gardens in Park City. Missed this one. Only avaiable at Offset Bier.
Level Crossing - Hill Hopper: This Rye IPA was brewed specifically for Hill and Hearth restaurant. Nice rye profile, it backs hop profile of citrus and stonefruit with some herbal nd floral hops. 6.0% - Only available at both Level Crossing locations and Hill and Hearth Sugar House and Park City.
Saltfire - Electric Honey: Big Stonefruit nose. Tastes is same but drier with similar apricot & citrus. A slight floral bite pops next. Actually, it’s quite flowery & nice. It jives well with the citrusy hops. Solid & tasty. Wish there was more to enjoy. Very, very small batch. 5.0% - Available at Saltfire.
Home Range - The Aggie Lager: Brewed to honor the Utah State Aggies. Logan is Aggie country, it only makes sense to have a local brewery make it.
Talisman - Oh My Gourd Becky: Missed this "whipped" pumpkin blonde ale. 5.1% - Available at Talisman.
Returning Favorites
Fisher - White IPA: Featuring a hop bill of mostly Mosaic, with a vigorous dry-hop of more Mosaic, Cascade and Simcoe. This is a West-Coast IPA featuring a soft, moderate bitterness. Loads of wheat malt help maintain a soft mouthfeel, but hops dominate with hints of berry, pine and bit of melon. 7.2% - Available now at Fisher.
Hopkins - You Can't Do That On Television: This is a throwback to American IPAs from 20 years ago, this beer features caramel malts (from Solstice Malts), a firm bitterness and a piney citrus dry hop profile from Chinook, Citra and Simcoe. 5.0% - Only at Hopkins.
Cheers!
