Uinta - Birthday Suit: This version of Uinta's anniversary sour features apricot. The aroma has that lemony lactic tartness, with just a hint of stone fruit. The taste is quite pleasant. There's a medium to low amount of tartness which gives the apricot room to shine. All-in-all it's a nice blend and an easy drinker for sure. 5.0% - Available at Uinta starting today.
Uinta - Sum'r: You may know this beer as lager that has a nice lemony hop profile. This year however the brand is undergoing a change. Now Sum'r is a session IPA: Low bitterness, with nice citrus and tropical notes. It's a tasty beer, but I'm going to miss one of my favorite Uinta lagers for sure. Note: I did try this on draft and from the can. The draft version is defiantly more bitter. It may be a different batch, who knows. 5.0% - Available at Uinta.
TF - Phantasm: This new hazy features Phantasm Powder: a fairly new and very unique beer ingredient. It's comes from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, essentially pulverized freeze-dried grape skins. This IPA is SICK. The fruitiness popping out of this ale is flat-out brilliant. Big citrus flavors on top berries and tropical fruit. A very limited number of breweries have been able to brew with this product thus far and TF was granted access. 8.8% - Debuts at Noon today. Two 4-pack limit.
RoHa - Bluebird: Missed this American style wheat beer. It debuts today. 5.0%
Epic - Flower Power: This is an Foedre-Aged Sour Ale that was blended with Passion Fruit, then dosed with Hibiscus right before it went into the can. Don't forget to pour it in a glass because the Hibiscus give the liquid a vibrant ruby/fuchsia color. This debuts today
Bewilder - Tripel: This style can be a wee sweet for some. There's a lot of malt and candied sugar happening in this particular style. Bewilder's version has all of this but manages to come off with a sweetness level that closer to medium – which is helpful in its long term drinkability. The malts are fruity with mostly peach flavors emerging. There is some hop bitterness for balance in the finish. 9.5% - Available at Bewilder in 16 ounce cans starting today.
2 Row - Smoked Habanero Porter: I missed this one. I'm a big fan of 2 Row's Smoked Jalapeño Porter so this one will be on my list today. 7.9% - Available at 2 Row, Bayou, Slackwater.
Fisher - Idaho Connection: This is a west coast style pale ale that features Idaho 7 hops, which brings out a robust aroma of melon on the nose. The flaked Rye provides a smooth softness on the pallet, while the small addition of Simcoe Hops add a subtle lingering berry fruit finish. 5.0% - Only at Fisher.
Deschutes - King Crispy: Missed this "crispy boy" pilsner. 4.8% - Found at Salt and Hops.
Revision - Contract Burn Release 3.0: Missed this triple hazy IPA. 10.5% - Found at Slackwater:
