New Beer Friday 4/12/24

You can finally feel Spring in the air. The beer gods are shining down upon us and the feeling is damn good! Get out this weekend and literally soak it all up. Happy New Beer Friday!

Ogden Beer Fest is next week, and to help you get your festival legs (and liver) back in shape Beer Nerd Radio has OG Fest in studio to kick off beer fest season. Hit us up at 2pm today in 99.9fm KUAA. 

Offset - Feeling Single, Seeing Triple: Brewed in Collaboration with New Image Brewing, this beer boasts the biggest hop bill ever for an Offset beer. Brewed with HBC586, Nectaron, Citra and Strata. A light malt base of Pilsner malt and rice coupled with the most hops we've added to a beer to date! Clear, crisp, and hop saturated. 10.0%

Ogden Beer - Master of None: This American Pilsner is big with Adina hops and features berry, melon and herbal flavors. Some toasty malts as well - Dry finish. Quite excellent! Mikey Likey! 5.0% - Only at Ogden Beer.

Ogden Beer -  Whimsical Beer Name: This pale features Citra, Strata & Nelson in whirlpool & dry hop. Big citrus and berry notes with a medium non-lingering finish. Great pale. 5.0% - Only at Ogden Beer. 5.0% - Only at Ogden Beer.

Salt Lake Brewing - Treebreard: A good dose of citrus and berries up front with all piney hops backing it up. Damn delicious old school pale. 5.0% - Available at SL Brewing.

Offset - HBC 1019: This Single Hop Pale Ale features nothing but HBC1019 hops in the kettle, whirlpool, and Dry Hop. This beer explodes with tropical fruit, gummy peach rings, and Valencia orange, with hints of rum barrel, caramelized banana, and coconut. It's pretty mind blowing that you can create these flavors and aromas with a hop. There is zero dankness, resin, pine, or earthiness commonly found in hops. 5.0%

Kiitos - Limited India Pale Ale: It pops with tropical notes of mango, tangerine, and lychee with background hints of passionfruit and white grape. Just bitter enough to provide a snappy dry finish that melds with a touch of pilsner malt sweetness that invites drinkability. Brewed with over 3 and a half pounds of hops per barrel, this beer is sure to satisfy hop heads looking for a hop oil tongue coating experience. 7.0% - Available at Kiitos.

Policy Kings - Something In The Water: Missed this one. This new pale ale brewed with only Cascade hops and pale malt. Light bitterness with notes of pine and citrus. 5.0% - Only at Policy Kings. 5.0% - Only at Policy Kings.

Hopkins - Guava Goddess: Notes of fresh stone fruit, berries, and citrus flavors rounded with a smooth mouthfeel. Every year the Pink Boots Society chooses a fresh new hop blend; this year’s blend features Ahtanum, El Dorado, HBC 638, Idaho 7. The hops and guava blend gloriously for this “juicy IPA” style. A portion of proceeds are donated to Pink Boots to support women in the brewing industry. 5.0% - Only at Hopkins Brewing.

Lumberbeard - West Coast Is Awesome: Idaho 7, Citra and Strata hops come together to create an amazing IPA. Aromas of tangerine and apricot are followed by a fruity pebble dankness with a subtle bitterness in each sip. 7.0% - Found at The Bayou, Slackwater and Handlebar. 

Stormbreaker IPA: Solid. Full of Simcoe, Citra & Mosaic. Not a powerhouse of flavor, but it hits all the right notes. 6.4% - Only at Beer Bar.
