I gotta tell ya, I can't wait to get on my bike and do some summer brewery bike crawls! Until then we have this great selection of beers to get us in the mood.
Offset - No Panic: This new WCIPA is crystal clear, dry, bitter, and incredibly drinkable. A simple malt bill of Pilsner and 2 Row creates a clean unobtrusive canvas for a blend of some amazingly terpy hops. Heavy additions of Mosaic, Centennial, NZ Cascade, and HBC 586 all throughout the boil, whirlpool, and multistage Dry Hop deliver a whirlwind of fruit forward flavors and aromas. Crisp bitterness and a snappy finish make this beer incredibly drinkable for 7.0% - Available at Offset now.
Bewilder - Hoppy Kölsch: Made with a new Gambrinus IPA malt & hopped with Huell Melon hops; this Kölsch looks the part and has a nice honeydew aroma with some peach and orange in the background. It’s aggressively hopped for sure. Big melon flavors with more of the peach and citrus from the aroma. It’s not hugely bitter but the brewers didn’t skimp on the hops either. Fairly dry finish. Mikey Likey! Try it along side with Bewilder's traditional Kölsch, also back today. 5.0% - Debuts at Bewilder today.
Salt Lake Brewing - Black Sunshine: Textbook to style. Medium to light roast with a nice citrus/pine hop combo. Plenty of cocoa mixed with citrus. It’s not quite that holiday orange/chocolate combo, it’s too close to an IPA, but damn it drinks like 2011! 5.0% - Available at SL Brewing.
Uinta- Blonde Stout: Missed this small batch beer. 5.0% - Available at Uinta.
Revision - Second Wind: Brewed with HBC 586, Mosaic and Cashmere hops, this fluffy and bright-tasting hazy DIPA is described as having hop notes of mango, stonefruit and a touch of lime. Found at The Bayou, Slackwater, The Ice Haüs.
Here are this weeks Small Batch Beers from Hopkins Brewing.
Cheers!
