Apparently we jumped over winter and spring and have have settled into summer already. This week's new beers appear to be on board with this notion. Enjoy your New Beer Friday weekend friends.
Chad Hopkins and his luxurious hair return to the Radio Pub to update us on the goings-on at Hopkins Brewing. Between changes in laws and endless Sugar House construction we're surprised he has any hair left. Check out our conversation this afternoon with guest host Jamie Aslett at 2pm on 99.9fm KUAA.
Uinta - Bees Be Buzzin: A super clean ale with a decent amount of malt backbone. The honey is quite noticeable, not overly sweet and it ties-in nicely with the floral aspects of the hops. Great beer for a 70°+ March day in SLC. 5.0%
Home Range - Little Snack: Not a lot of info on this one, but Home Range teased a great photo on their Instagram that shows what looks to be a Hoppy Lager in a stubby 5 ounce can. It supposed to be released today at the brewery. 5.0%
Proper - Upheaval: This new Imperial Saison was inspired by the wild beauty of Upheaval Dome in Canyonlands. Brewed in collaboration with Friends of Arches & Canyonlands Parks. I tried to sample it for you but its not available at Proper main brewery (the brewery where it was made). It can only be found at Proper's Moab Bar or Craft by Proper. Let us know if you've tried it. 9.7%
Red Rock - Rocket Juice: Tried to get this WC Pils at Red Rock downtown. No joy. Apparently only available at Red Rock's beer store or their Fashion Place location. Apparently trying beers is not meant to be easy anymore. 5.0%
Cheers!
