Due to the popularity of New Beer Friday the team here at Utah Beer Gizmos, Doohickeys and Thingamajigs have decided that it's time build a new data-center to handle the extra load. We trust that our Ai overloads will be pleased and we humbly ask them to remember our efforts in the coming robot uprising.
Beer Nerd Radio Welcomes in RoHa Brewing Project 2.0. Yup the new owners and head brewer are in the radio pub today. Co-owner Shawn Smith and Head Brewer Mathew "Valuepack" Veylupek will walk us through their history and what's coming next at the RoHa Brewing Project. Beer Nerd Radio fires up at 2pm on 99.9fm KUAA. Fisher - All The Haze That Matters: Such a great hop profile, those Dolcita hops really add some nice stonefruit to the Citra/Mosaic mix. Some strawberry & tangerine round it out. Earthy/tropical finish. Very much enjoying this. 5.0% - Available at Fisher.
These are some holdovers from last week's Great Beer Mashup. There may be more of the collaborations floating around, but these are the beers I know are still available.
Bewilder / Beer Nerd Radio / Solstice Malt / Roy Hops Farms - Jimmy Wheat: We made this collab with Solstice Malt, Roy Hop Farms, Beer Nerd Radio and of course Bewilder. This 100% wheat IPA features 2 types of ancient wheat, Amarillo hops and a touch of rose hips. Big pineapple from the hops, creamy and bready. The rose is faint, but pops as it warms. A tasty damn White IPA! 5.0% - only at Bewilder.
Fisher / Hopkins - Olivetti's Best: This Italian Pils has a wonderful herbal hop flavor. Some lemon & grass - but not lemongrass. Sweet/toasty crackers for the base. This quite damn delish! I wouldn’t mind it if this stuck around for a while. 👊💥🤤 Much praise to the Hopkins team on this collaboration. 🍻5.0% - Available at Fisher and Hopkins
Ogden Beer / Melvin - Rainforest Cafeteria: This West Coast Pils features Mosaic, Krush and Deep Cut Cascade hops. The Mosaic / Krush create a “soft tropical smoothie,” profile while the Deep Cut Cascade snaps it back with classic Cascade hop profile. It's a really smart blend if you want something that feels new-school but still crisp. 6.0% - Available at Ogden Beer
TF / Ogden Beer - NDA: This New Zealand Pils definitely has a shload of NZ hops. Melon and diesel aroma. These carry on to the palate. Earthy and chewy hops start with some herbal bite. The melon comes around with some soft strawberry and mango. Well hopped/chewy finish 5.0% - Available at TF and Ogden Beer
Offset / Slackwater - El Provo: This Mexican Lager the collaborators decided to do a cereal mash with some corn grits for this beer. This is a very simple beer but they wanted to give it a little more flavor than your standard industrialized version. A small late addition of some Crystal hops give it the faintest hint of lime as well. 5.0% - Available at all Slackwater locations.
Offset / Level Crossing - Wet and Damp: For Cold & Damp: For this collab the team used a brand new variety that doesn't have a name or number and only 70lbs of it even exist. It was then dry hopped with Cryo Fresh Frozen Mosaic & Krush as well as some Nelson Fresh Pressed Hop Juice from NZ. The end result is a crisp and somewhat clear 5% IPA that exudes fresh hop character. There's a nice blend of dank, herbaceous aromas and bright tropical and citrus notes. Available at Offset now. This should be on draft at Level Crossing's West Temple location this afternoon. Call before you make the trip, to be sure.
There are more collaboration beers out there, these are just some that I came across during my "research".
Cheers!
