Un Gotero Panty de una Cerveza!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! If you plan on celebrating or not, Squatters' newest edition in their Small Batch Series is available today. Pequeño Imperial is a Super Sized (in more ways than one) somewhat tradition Mexican style lager.

I haven't tried it yet, but sources close to the brewpub call this one "a real panty dropper". My innocent mind doesn't know what such a thing could mean. But me thinks I'm gunna like it!

Out of the Bottle Shop for $5 and at the table for $9.95. with an ABV of 6.5%.

Salude!

I had this at lunch today. Very tasty. Almost no hop bitterness, a nice light malt sweetness. It tastes just like a concentrated Mexican lager. Very refreshing.

I had some of this and I definitely couldn't wait to drop my boxers when I got back home with the wife later.

went to the bottle shop and this was their only offering. Normally, I'm not a fan of mexican lagers but this was crisp and clean.

Did anyone find my panties? Must have left them at the pub somewhere...

Oh, and sort of on topic: I hesitatingly picked up a growler of Wasatch Fiesta Lager from the UBC store. Glad I did. Not so surprisingly, Wasatch managed to sneak in some nice malt flavor. If you like Squatters' Cream Ale, check this one out.

To the folks wondering what happened to all the beer at the Squatters PA:
Thankfully, they will again have a full selection of Squatters and Wasatch beer in their fridge. A couple weeks ago, they were told to remove any beer not actually made at the pub, even though it is all the same company and the brewers from the pub and UBC regularly collaborate on design and brewing. The DABC has recently (gasp!)come to their senses and rectified this situation.
The problem lies with another local brewery trying to make it difficult for Squasatch to sell THEIR beer to THEIR customers.

Nice try. Now go try to make some decent beer...
