Russian River - Pliny the Elder: Finally in the Utah market, the mother (or father) all DIPAs makes its debut at all Dick's Market locations! Pliny the Elder is brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, CTZ, and Simcoe hops. It is well-balanced with malt, hops, and alcohol, slightly bitter with a fresh hop aroma of floral, citrus, and pine. Guaranteed to be nine days old or less! Only two bottles per customer. 8.0%
Heber Valley - Volution: This is the second version of their Hazy IPA. The brewers have swapped-out the Sabro and Idaho 7 hops and loaded it up with Strata and Simcoe. This hop combo is packed with notes of citrus, passionfruit, melon, mango and berry. 6.8% - Only at Heber Valley Brewing.Ogden River - Cali Invasion: This California Common style is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale fermentation temperatures. This beer has a noticeable degree of toasted and caramel-like malt character in flavor and aroma with a floral hop profile. 5.0% - Only at Ogden River.
TF - ZOZO: This Bourbon Barrel aged Imperial Pastry stout features toasted coconut, Banana and hazelnut. This is quite a viscous and thick beer. It has a big sweet boozy aroma with lots of whiskey, coconut and hazelnut. The taste is far less boozy than the nose (though it's still potent). It starts out with nice chocolatey flavors, The comes the banana, coconut and hazelnut. It does come off as a banana split sundae. It finishes quite sweet. The 12.2% will kick your ass if you're not careful. Only at TF starting today.
Kiitos - Pink Boots Strawberry IPA: Missed this one. It debuts today at Kiitos I'm not sure but Roosters may pick some of this up as well. 5.0%
Level Crossing - Barrel-Aged Bat Country with Peaches: This peach-forward American blonde ale was aged in Malbec barrels that has previously aged High West Whiskey. It’s quite oaky, not too much Malbec, but there’s a bit of oaky vanilla. Peach is subtle. 5.0% - Only at Level Crossing.
Red Rock - ONO: Pours a dark rich color with a small head. Has a nice coconut smell with a hint of chocolate and bourbon. Nice up front chocolate and coconut followed by a nice barrel finish. Nice oak taste. Medium body beer but does well with the bourbon taste. Really good offering.10.5% - Available starting today at all Red Rock locations.
Shades - Mexican Lager: This beer feature subtle lime and salt. I like the salt level (very low) and the lime is more of an accent which I found quite refreshing. 5.0% - Available at both Shades locations.
Shades - Orange Creamsicle: This is quite nice. No lactose. Only vanilla & orange in a cream ale. I found this to be quite drinkable. It relies on the vanilla and orange for flavor not extra sweetness. Quite nice. 5.0% - Available at both Shades locations.
Shades - Passion fruit Sour: This is a kettle sour with a good dose of passion fruit. The sour level is probably a solid 7 out of 10 in intensity. Fans of passion fruit will dig this. 5.0% - Available at both Shades locations.
RoHa - Pink Boots Session IPA: The First Pink Boots beer I've tried this year and it's quite tasty. Lots of citrus peel and herbal spice with a nice dose of melon. Please get out and support these brews while they're around. 5.0% Debuts today at RoHa.
Hopkins - Just-a-Gose: Our version of a classic German sour wheat beer is naturally soured with lactobacillus, then brewed with orange peel, coriander, and salt. This beer features a delicate balance of salinity and tartness while maintaining a delicate dry finish.
Hopkins - Guava Goddess: Their annual Pink Boots Society brew features locally grown and malted Solstice Malt Pilsner, fresh guava puree, and Pink Boots Hop Blend. Every year the Pink Boots Society chooses a fresh new hop blend; this year the blend consists of HBC 630, Idaho Gem, Loral, Talus and Triumph. The guava and dry-hop meld nicely for this “juicy IPA” style. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Pink Boots to support women in the brewing industry. 5.0% - Only at Hopkins.
Odell - Solarized: This DIPA Features Yuzu fruit, characterized by a zippy grapefruit-like flavor with notes of mandarin orange and lemon zest. 8.2% - Found at Slackwater.
