North Kilt Town Ale – Scottish 70/- Ale: This malty, rich ale pours a deep brown with garnet highlights
and an off-white head. The malt, brown sugar and caramel notes are
complimented by a slight smokiness which dries out the finish. A
slightly lower level of carbonation makes for a smooth pint. 4.0% ABV @ Aves Proper
Squatters Wee Peat: I've not tried this one yet, but Head Brewer Jason Stock tells me that this brand new version of Squatters' Scottish Ale has a tad more peat than the Aves Proper version above. 5.6% ABV @ Squatter, Beer Store - eventually most Liquor Stores
Squatters Bumper Crop Honey Lavender Ale: Slightly different version of the original Bumper Crop brew back in June 2012. Same ABV and features local honey for a soft, slightly sweet finish. At 5.5% ABV @ Squatter, Beer Store - eventually most Liquor Stores
Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Fresh Hop: Deep ruby in color. There's a great nose of earthy/pine pines with some
floral, herbal and grapefruit notes. The taste follows the nose:
creamy caramel malts, lots of fresh earthy pine hops, grapefruit, blood
orange, lemongrass. Not an overwhelming hop bomb; nicely balanced. 6.7% ABV @ Beer Bar, Liquor stores
Poperings Hommelbier: The Nose has a nice mix of yeast and sunbtle fruity orange
peel. The taste is a pleasant mix of dry
hops, spice and a bit of bready malts, more orange peel in the end. There is a slight metalic taste in the finish that dissapates slightly as it warms. 7.5% ABV @ Bayou
Troubadour Obscura: This export stout has a complex nose of fruity esters, roasted malt and coffee. The flavor profile is
similar, starting sweet with chocolate then going into the fruit and
tangy yeast before swinging to the bitter end for an acidic, coffee
finish. Complex and distinctly European. 8.5% ABV @ Bayou
Petrus Aged Pale: This golden/orange colored ale has a lot of white fruit and juicy grape elements in the nose, along
with a good amount of wood. The
flavor follows the aroma with a good wave of acid and sourness
complementing the white fruit, grape, and wood notes. Low to moderate
bitterness. Somewhat sweet, as well, but the flavors work well together. 7.3% ABV @ Bayou
Troubadour Magma: Me no try yet. 9.0% ABV @ Bayou
Troubadour Westkust Black IPA: Me no try yet either. 9.2% ABV @ Bayou

Ooh, I love peaty scotch so I will have to try the Squatters Wee Peat for sure, and the Aves' beer if I can get there. Yum.
