4th Annual Beehive Brew-off & Red as Hell Ale

August 26th has been set as the date for the 4th Annual Beehive Brew-off. It's still quite a ways away, but trust me, you'd rather have too much time to get your entries together than not enough. Entries are the same as past years. One entry = (3)three unmarked 12 oz. bottles. Fees are $5 per entry. More info to come as the date get closer.

Also, Squatters' Radio from Hell beer, "Red as Hell Ale" is being released at 8am today at the Beer Store (1763 s. 300 w.). Radio from Hell will be broadcasting from there (not Squatters) from 6am - 10am. $3.99 per 750 ml. bottle. 5.5% ABV

Available at Squatters locations today and at DABC Test Stores: the 3rd Week of February

And, The Pelicans have arrived.

Cheers!

I'm looking forward to trying the Red as Hell Ale. Shame one of the DABC test stores isn't a little closer to me...

These "test stores" are just another example of how poorly run the DABC is.

Just for our information, which of the monop..., er sorry, beneficent outlets, are "test stores?"

I am very interested in trying the Red as Hell Ale, and will get it from the beer store.

Cheers,
Scott

Click on the link in the bottom of the post where it says, test stores.

Yeah, the test store is stupid as hell. Not one in SLC.

What are they "testing"?

Mikey said...

They're testing the sales and demand for certain new beverages.

I do drive by the one in Holliday now and then. Maybe I will stop and make my voice heard a little more. Do they actually get different beers than the other outlets?

Cheers.

I see Springville is on the list. I'll be heading down and picking up a couple bottles.

From what I heard this morning, Springville may not receive any for a couple of weeks.

I'm hearing pretty good reports on this beer. Can't wait to taste it.

Finally got to try this beer... Both my wife and I really liked it! As of Thursday, there were plenty available at the liquor store in Kimball Junction.
